DEVELOPING QUARRY RESOURCES

Geomapping Associates Ltd. has been instrumental in bringing a number of exploration projects into the production stage of development. White Marble in Colorado, Quartzite in Utah, Green and Red Marble and Gray Granite in Vermont, and a White Granite in North Carolina are now in production and are filling a market niche.

In all of these cases, detailed surface mapping of rock outcrops, combined with subsurface core drilling, have delineated adequate reserves of quality stone. The techniques utilized by Geomapping professional geologists are common geological tools that most geologists have at their disposal. However, the advantage held by Geomapping's geologists is the rather unique experience of having worked in and around various quarries worldwide. From this experience comes the ability to relate field observations to other comparative quarry settings. This skill is critical in the final analysis when the competitive position of a new deposit must be determined.

Mineral composition, color continuity, veining trends, joint spacing, and textural variations all need to be measured and mapped in detail in order to determine the potential recovery / waste factors which, in turn, will determine the economic viability of a particular stone deposit.
